New Start!

I love how each year, I can feel the blessing of a clean slate. A new beginning. A fresh start. I want to make sure my children are encouraged in the same way. The past two years were full of changes upon changes for us all. Some of those changes were expected, some were not. Some changes were very difficult, at times extremely so. Yet God in His mercy also blessed us with many hopes and dreams fulfilled. I am so excited to be able to do some serious nesting! The purging needs to hit a painful level culminating in an impending garage sale. My very least pleasure in life. Dreading it with each thought.

Things I am working on to make that blessed fresh start in our home:
  • preparing Little Mommy's portfolio
  • unpacking 14 years of homeschooling to find this year's treasures!
  • planning co-op and other lessons to be shared with other families
  • clearing out the garage into a permanent working order
  • planning the school year for three little girls instead of one!
  • dreaming and scheming to do all the summer projects I'm longing to do
  • devising  neat/orderly/pretty/child proof/easy access homeschooling storage!
  • creating a realistic dynamic school year schedule
  • fine tuning the goals set for each of the Little Women
  • The Little Women need all their clothing sorted yet again
Our dinning room table is cheering with a clean table cloth symbolizing its freedom from slavery of being the sorting table! The sideboard and wall are not so happy as they are now close friends with the sorted boxes!

You say, "I am allowed to do anything" - but not everything is good for you. You say, "I am allowed to anything" - but not everything is beneficial. Don't be concerned for your own good but for the good of others.
1 Corinthians 10:23-24

My desire is to benefit my God, my family, and others. It's not about do I have to but that my heart and head agree that I want to!
